BBCH, EPPO, start time, and more now available in Farmdok!
BBCH, EPPO, start time, etc. – Farmdok meets all new requirements for documenting plant protection measures. Since January 1, 2026, new legal requirements have been in force for documenting the use of plant protection products. In addition to the previous mandatory information, the following details are now also required:
- Development stage (BBCH) at the time of application
- EPPO code of the crop
- Time of application, if relevant
New in Farmdok: BBCH code and checks!
The use of many plant protection products is only permitted at certain stages of development (BBCH) of the crop (see Plant Protection Register). These restrictions are now visible in the Farmdok web app (see image in the middle).
For all products with BBCH application restrictions, the corresponding BBCH stage must be documented when applying the plant protection product. The corresponding stage can be selected in the Farmdok mobile app in the “Comments” section. In the Farmdok web app, the BBCH code can be selected under “More details.”
Only permitted BBCH stages can be selected!
If the field (and thus the crop), product, and pest are selected in advance, Farmdok filters the list of BBCH stages according to all permitted values. This virtually eliminates selection errors.
The live check verifies and ensures safety!
The live check verifies whether there are BBCH restrictions for the product and the pest. If there are restrictions, documentation is mandatory. Farmdok warns if the BBCH stage is not entered.
Farmdok also warns if the selected growth stage is not permitted. For example, if the product or field is changed after selecting the BBCH stage and would then no longer be permitted, Farmdok also warns.
EPPO codes are automatically included in the plant protection report!
The EPPO codes are already stored in Farmdok for each crop and are automatically generated in the report. This means you don’t have to memorize or select the EPPO codes.
Start time in the field recorded automatically with GPS or manually!
For bee-hazardous products, the start time of application must be documented for each field. If the GPS track is also recorded when using the Farmdok mobile app, Farmdok automatically documents the start time of application for each field. The start time can also be set manually when entering the date or changed retrospectively.
Optimally prepared for the start of the plant protection season!
With the latest enhancements to Farmdok, you are optimally prepared for this year’s crop protection season. If required, temperature, wind speed, and humidity can now also be recorded—this is particularly interesting for participants in quality or seal of approval programs. Use Farmdok Premium or Farmdok Performance for your records. It makes it easier!
