Go to “start immediately” on www.farmdok.com . You can also load your beats including geo-data from eAMA to Farmdok.

2. WHAT IS THE FARMDOK SYSTEM ABOUT?

show hide

Farmdok consists of a web client and a smartphone app. The smartphone app is primarily for recording activities. However, it is also possible to view already recorded activities and request reports. The web client is used to manage and evaluate the actities. Actities can be booked, changed or deleted. Reports can be created and exported as well as the master data (operating data, beats, equipment) adjusted.

3. IS THERE ALSO THE FARMDOK APP FOR IOS (IPHONE / IPAD)?

show hide

Yes! You can find the links on the website www.farmdok.com and in the App Store under “Farmdok”.

4. ARE DATA SYNCHRONIZED BETWEEN APP AND WEB CLIENT?

show hide

Yes. They practically work on the same data. Farmdok has a central database. Both the web client and the smartphone get the data from this database every time they start up and save measures and their changes there again.

5. YOU MUST ALWAYS BE CONNECTED WITH THE INTERNET TO RECORD MEASURES WITH THE SMARTPHONE?

show hide

No. The smartphone app is offline-enabled. You must be connected to the Internet (WLAN or mobile data) when logging in. All operating data is downloaded to the smartphone and is then also available without Internet. If you have no reception during work, the data is cached on the smartphone. The next time you connect to the Internet, the data will be synchronized with the Farmdok database and available to the Web client. We recommend connecting the smartphone to the Internet at least once a day to start Farmdok to keep the data in sync.

6. HOW TO ENTER THE WEB CLIENT?

show hide

Open your web browser (we recommend Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox) and enter www.farmdok.com in the address bar. At the top of the page you will find the Username, Password, and a Login button in Farmdok.

7. CAN I WORK ON THE WEB CLIENT WITHOUT INTERNET?

show hide

No. To use the web client on www.farmdok.com you must have an internet connection. You can go from any device – PC, notebook, tablet or smartphone – but an Internet connection is a prerequisite for use.

8. IS MY DATA IN THE CLOUD?

show hide

“Cloud” refers to networks of computers offered worldwide by service providers, so-called “providers”. For example, the Amazon Cloud, Microsoft Cloud or Google Cloud, which offer services such as Dropbox, OneDrive or Google Drive. For the cloud user, often only the provision of computer power or memory in the network is important, not where this computer is physically located and by whom it is operated. The lack of insight and the ability to influence the cloud computer sometimes gives the impression that the own data is distributed uncontrollably on the Internet and unknown to others. If you understand the cloud like that, then – no! Then Farmdok is not in the cloud. Farmdok Server is one or more industrial computers rented by a professional server center. But we control these computers or what these computers do and who they give data and who they do not. Why did we rent? Because a professional provider can better ensure that the hardware (computer, memory, etc.) is protected from fire, theft, or power failure. What if I tell you that everything is in the cloud, connected to the Internet through a network cable or Wi-Fi, and allowing unauthorized (hackers) to penetrate a private computer much more easily than in a professional-powered one? According to that statement, Farmdok is in the cloud as well as your private computer. And in that case, you’re probably glad that Farmdok Server is professionally operated, maintained and protected.

9. DOES FARMDOK NEED MUCH POWER?

show hide

No, not really. You can see on your smartphone under Settings, Power, which apps need how much power. Farmdok is probably not first here. The major energy consumers are mainly large displays, mobile hotspots, telephone calls and Internet surfing. The GPS needs comparatively little energy. Of course, the app always entices you to turn on the display and see what is happening, then the energy consumption can increase a bit. We recommend to install a charging station on the tractor or to take an external additional battery (power bank) with you during work, if you need to phone a lot besides work or if you like to surf the internet.

10. CAN I ALSO EDIT OR DELETE ACTIVITIES ON THE SMARTPHONE?

show hide

No. The smartphone is used for recording. You can change and delete via the web client.

11. Is there an operating manual for FARMDOK?

show hide

Yes. There is a video tutorial on Youtube.
